We had our quarterly staff meeting this morning in the atrium where they showed off some of our latest work, told us how good we've been doing, and basically pumped us all up about what we do and who we are as a company. I don't know why, but I always come away from those meetings very inspired. I think it's something about our CEO John Adams- he's very inspiring to me. Even in the worst possible times he finds a positive way to look at things and encourages us all to "Think Different". He never fails to give me a fresh perspective on things.
At the end of the meeting he talked about how even through this sluggish economy the company has performed well and he attributed that to us employees. He continued to say that since we have worked so hard during these times, the partners were happy to reward us with salary increases this year (early) in April. Normally that kind of thing happens in July and hasn't happened the past two years, so I'm pretty excited about this. Not sure if this will include a performance review or not, so I guess we'll see.
John left us with one final simple thought this morning: "Go out today and do something you're afraid to do." Have a great day, everyone!
