I'm such a wuss. I did it again. For about the millionth time, I did what I always do this morning during my morning website rounds. I visited SlickDeals.net as I always do and saw a great deal. On this particular morning, the deal is a Sharp Zaurus 5500 Linux-based PDA for $170. Not that exciting, right? Actually, you'd be wrong. It has a color screen, 64MB memory and SD and CompactFlash memory card slots. And..it can be wireless if you want.
Ok, so what made me want to do this "deal"? The fact that these PDAs are selling for around $250-$275 on eBay. So, my first thought was to purchase three of these beautiful new PDAs. I'd be investing roughly $510 ($170 x 3) I'd sell the two on eBay for $255 each ($510 revenue), which would make the third PDA basically free for me to have. What a deal.
I clicked the link to the site selling the item. I added it to my cart. I added in my billing and shipping addresses. And then, on the next page it happened. I froze up. I couldn't make myself push the little button that said "Submit".
Man, and I thought all that stuff about "consumer confidence" was crap. I guess they're right.

I mean when a little kid tells you not to touch my truck & you jump out of your shoes what else could that mean? I just figure by now you may of grown out of it. By the way I just giving you a hard time but you did jump.

Posted by: Olivia's friend at March 18, 2003 07:21 PMEh..it's his money. I'd rather he spend (or not spend) it on himself rather than on me.
