Design Burnout

Last night was one of those nights where I got in bed, turned off the light and then said, "Crap. I forgot to update my site." So, that's what happened last night.

Today was pretty boring at work. My guess is that nobody at Martin is really doing any work because we're not getting many calls. So, I spent the most part of today working on the re-design and re-organization of our Intranet site. I've realized over the past few weeks that I'm getting moderately burnt-out on web stuff. Here's my current list of web projects:

  • re-design and re-organize the Martin Intranet (by Oct. 1)

  • Create a Tacoma enthusiast website, complete with discussion forums

  • design and implement ResurrectionAuto.com - a website for a co-worker and a friend to sell used auto parts

  • design and implement a club website for my buddy Shane and Diversified Ridez.

  • Assist Olivia's friend, Maggie, in re-organizing and probably re-designing her website, CreationsBridal.com

  • Meanwhile, maintain my sanity and try to have some sort of social life

Whew. I'm doing my best to organize all of those web development projects so that I'm not right in the middle of all of them at the same time..but somehow I'm still up to my gills in design work. Don't get me wrong, though..I do enjoy doing this..just in smaller quantities.

On a lighter note, congratulations to my friend from high school, Daniel Chapman, who proposed to his girlfriend this past weekend...and she said "yes". Don't know what made her do a thing like that, but I'm sure they'll be happy. Congrats, Daniel!

I guess that's all for tonight. Within the next day or two, I'll post a couple designs on here for you all to peruse (and give me your opinions on). Hopefully, there are some critical readers out there..right?
