Plum'r To the Rescue

I discovered an interesting home remedy this weekend. Do you get a build-up of dirty-looking stuff on the floor of your bathtub? Maybe our situation is weird, but we get pink water stains and dirt build-up on the floor of our tub that we can never get clean, no matter how hard we scrub.

A few months ago, I used some Liquid Plum'R to clear up our clogged drain and noticed that where the Plum'R had been sitting in the floor of the tub was CLEAN! And not just sorta clean..but bleach-white clean!

So yesterday, I grabbed our bottle of Extra-super-heavy-duty-strength Liquid Plum'R and went to work on our. I closed the drain and poured a decent amount all over the floor of the tub and let it sit for about a half hour. I came back and vigorously scrubbed at the dirty spots until, they came clean. When I was finished, our tub looked brand new!

That's about all of the exciting news I have for now. Oh, and the wedding invitations went out today. YAY!

That might be lime build-up from your water being hard. Another product that will take it away is Lime-Away. It's good for the white stuff around the kitchen sink faucet.

YAY! about the invitations. I can't wait to see ours! Can we RSVP online yet? I'm ready!

It also helps to take a bath more than once a month...that way it doesn't build up all at once! ;)

Good luck with the wedding!
Keep us posted!

Thanks for the tip! I get the pink buildup (it's easier to notice when you're not home for almost a month)... I think I'll give that a shot!

I wonder what the pinkish color is too, because I was pretty sure lime is white.

I get the pink stuff, too. Don't know what it is...there should be a web site with info on that!

;-)

Can't wait for the invitation to arrive!!

I think it's some form of mold or mildew. Happens on things that stay wet a lot.

A red or pink pigmented bacteria known as Serratia marcescens is thought to be the cause of pink stuff. FYI Serratia marsescens is not known to cause any waterborne diseases.
