America Got It Right

A few months ago, Olivia and I (being the TV bums that we are) were watching the "audition" episodes of American Idol. These are the episodes that air at the beginning of the season that always include A LOT of bad auditions.

During one episode, a singer came out and performed their audition song. My comments after that performance were something like, "Wow. That was amazing. She's going to win this year." That contestant was none other than Carrie Underwood. In fact, I was so convinced that she was going to win that later that night, I looked to see if the carrieunderwood.com domain was available. Unfortunately, .com, .net, and .org were all taken.

I'm proud that America got it right this year and voted Carrie as the American Idol. I was upset when Diana DiGarmo didn't win last year, but this makes up for it. Carrie's going to be a huge star. I just know it.

I think Carrie was going to be huge regardless of winning. I also think Bo will be huge. However, I wanted BO to win! :( I blame myself for not voting that night. I won't deny that Carrie was good, though. But Bo was my man!

What was the margin of victory? was it big? or was BO catching up?
