Fighting the Good Fight Against Comment Spam

Google announced today that they (along with Yahoo, MSN, and a bunch of other search engines) that they are implementing a tactic to fight blog comment spam. One of the most commonly used ways comment spammers locate blogs to spam is using search engines. If the search engines can somehow nip that in the bud, then it should reduce comment spamming.

They're not claiming that this will be the end of comment spam, but I'm thrilled that the search engines are getting involved.
