February 7, 2003Snowy Late FridayAs promised, our friends aat the Salvation Army picked up our junk yesterday sometime. It was nice to come home to an empty porch and foyer. It's a good thing they picked the stuff up yesterday, too, because the snow started shortly after dark and continued until past midnight. We woke up this morning to find a good 3 inches of snow with a hard, ice shell on top. Olivia was lucky enough to be relieved of her work duties today, while I went to work 2 hours late. Getting the extra sleep was awesome. Why can't I go to work 2 hours late everyday? We learned this morning (and Adweek.com confirms) that we didn't make it to into the next round for the Capitol One advertising business. What a disappointment. It's a $170 million account, which would have been great for us. Just like the hroundhog indicated, it looks like (at least) six more weeks of dry times at Martin. Dry and scratchy, even. Kinda like after going in the ocean and getting sand in your shorts, then walking a few miles down the beach. Yeh, like that. Oh, by the way, ORANGE ALERT! Run for your lives. The official TruSecure office day begins at 8:30am. I begin my office day at 10:45am. :) Why don't you? Well, it's like this: you HAVE a life and deserve to get home at a decent hour, not 7:30 like me. :) Thank God I don't have to work those hours with sandy underpants. Posted by: Brian at February 7, 2003 5:25 PMWait a minute..... wearing sandy underpants ISN'T normal?! I may need to change my ways..... Posted by: Top at February 7, 2003 6:38 PMPost a comment
