Every day when we go out to visit the house this week, I get more and more excited. They've really kicked things into high gear since the drywall went up. Here's the skinny:
- The wallls and trim have been primered.
- Our kitchen cabinets are in. They look SOOO good...except the gold knobs, but we've already got our eye on new brushed nickel ones.
- Our dinnette is filled with goodies including our stove, dishwasher, toilets, sinks, light fixtures, and more.
- Some light fixtures have already been installed and most power outlets, light switches, and wall plates are installed.
- Our linoleum floors in our kitchen, bathrooms, and laundry room are done, although they may have some work to do on the floor in our master bathroom.
I guess that's about it. It's hard to believe that we're going to be closing in just 12 days. I'll be getting our homeowner's insurance papers signed today (we ended up going with MetLife - they gave us BY FAR the best rate with good coverage).
I didn't have a chance to download the photos from my camera from last night, but I'll be sure to do that tonight. Check back!

Wow, we were just checking out your place with you last weekend--it sounds totally different from what we saw! I hope Mike and I can get one final look at it "unfinished" before you close!
Like I told you before, you and Olivia are the most involved in the building of your home than any other person in Hunton (sp?) Park--definitely!!! The Ryan people might try to hire you!

I know it's a pain to update the album, but I'm dying to see the floors and cabinets!!!
