Things that make me go VROOM VROOM!

You know what I hate? I hate waiting until 11:45pm to update my site. Earlier in the evening, I had all of this cool stuff that I wanted to write about..but now it's late, I'm tired and I don't feel like really typing much. So, here's the condensed version of today:

Cindy (a co-worker) brought in her talking parrot, which provided lots of morning entertainment. This bird is HILLARIOUS. He sings, talks, sqawks, and talks-back. There wasn't a whole lot of excitement today..pretty slow day. It would have been a great day to catch up on projects and that sort of thing..but for some reason, I just wasn't that motivated to work on any of it. I piddled a bit with the new Intranet design that's supposed to go live the first week in October, but that was about it.

After work, I headed accross town for a Mac "house call" at a co-worker's friend's house. His mac kept getting a -42 error (Time synchronizer error) on startup. Well, duh..everybody knows what that means. It's a corrupt Finder!! So, I went over there, spent 2 minutes fixing his system and charged him my hourly rate (1 minute=1 hour, 60 minutes=1 hour). Not a bad deal.

I came home to find that our tickets for the UAW GM Quality 500 race at Charlotte arrived today in the mail. YAY! I'd really like to scan them..if only I had a working scanner.

And now, I'm tired and it sounds like my neighbors are blasting their music. I may have to get nasty. grrr. Goodnight!

I find that I'm always exhausted when I update. It's mainly for the same reason you mentioned-- just putting it off until later in the evening.

At the same time though, I feel like keeping up with a daily blog is a chore and I put it off until as long as possible. It's only when I get feedback on my entries that I think of it as an effective way of communicating. Otherwise, I feel like it did me no good.

But then today, I was going through the archives. That feature of blogging alone makes it worth it all. Looking back and seeing how things were versus how they are now...that's what makes this worth doing.

I'm rambling, but I agree with you Jeff. Probably the best time to blog is when you get in from work or something, so it's all fresh in your head, and so you don't have it looming over you. We used to have to do our homework first when we were growiung up. That way, we could have the rest of the night to ourselves. I suppose it's the same thing here.

not a bad idea. I used to try to make myself do that..but I got out of schedule.

Look, if this turns into a chore, it's not worth it. There's no point unless you enojy doing it.

How about a digital picture of those race tickets? I'd like to see them!

Sometimes, Olivia, we just have to do things we don't want to do. That's just the way it is.

And again, being able to look back on updates of old is a really cool thing.

What would you do if Peer2all.com went offline!? :)~
