A high performance machine!

First, let me apologize for the entry below. I was transfering some files late last night and actually fell asleep while the files were copying over my wireless network (yes, it's only 11MB/sec theoretically). So, when I woke up, the files had finished transfering and I realized that I needed to add an entry to my website to keep you fine folks updated on my (not-so) exciting life. So, in my half-awake stupor, I wrote what you see in the entry below. Pretty funny, if you ask me. Even the tone of what I said below came out totally wrong: I wasn't dreading today's performance review at all. I was actually anxious and excited about it. I was just too tired to make it sound right.

So, the review went very well. Glen(my boss) and Steve (head of the dept) had some very nice things to say about me, and even as humble as I was trying to be, it made me feel really good and I couldn't help but smile. I, of course, thanked them, too. As I expected, I was given a pay increase. And, quite unexpectedly, I was given a promotion to the next "level", "Customer Engineer II". Now, don't get too terribly excited. My job duties haven't changed. I'm really happy.

Tonight, I took Olivia out to dinner at Olive Garden and then drove around exploring a few roads we've never been on.

After we got home, I called Mom and Dad up in Maine (they're on vacation) and chatted with them about their vacation activities. They actually went canoeing today. Yeh! Mom and Dad! Weird. I didn't realize that they enjoyed that kind of thing. I know I would have, if I would've been there.

Oh, and I've also posted photos from our trip to Asheville, NC for the Lewis Family reunion this past weekend. Enjoy!

Woo hoo!!! Party at Jeff's place!!!

hehe

Nice job Jeff. See? I told you that I didn't even need to know the results to congratulate you. You've done well for the Martin Agency, and they should be forever in your debt.

Damn, I'm proud of you. :)

Hey! We are NOT fuddy-duddies! We like to do the not-so -strenuous sports, OK? The canoe ride was very relaxing and the 10 miles went very quickly. We even had peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for a picnic mid-ride. We rock!
