June 19, 2001Shave and a hair cut..toupe'?I'd like to ask the men out there a question: What is one of the best feelings (in the summer) in the whole wide world? Comon', lemme hear it. Ok, I'll fill the ladies in: it's a haircut. You know that sloppy feeling you get when your hair gets waayy longer than you're used to having it? So, as you may of guessed, I got a haircut this evening..and MAN, I feel MUCH better. I knew I'd be totally miserable if I went to Florida next week with long hair. I think it's because my hair grows so thick, but when it gets long, it's like wearing a wool sock hat. Bleh.
Dad left a message on our machine tonight saying that Buster had come home and was doing pretty well. He said that Buster still had problems walking straight and that he wasn't eating much. He's on some kind of medication, but Dad didn't say what it was. (Maybe he'll respond in the comments area and tell the world what type of drugs they're giving Buster) It's good to hear that he's doing better, but I can't help but wonder how much better he'll ever be? And finally, congrats to my buddy Brian, who finally broke down and purchased himself a kick-ass Sony VAIO laptop. It looks like a sweet machine..800mhz AMD, 10gig, USB, Firewire, and 14" screen. Not too bad. And..only $1400. Great deal. Check out his website for the full story. Posted by Jeff at June 19, 2001 10:36 PMComments
Writing on behalf of those males typing on the web with nappy hair, I'd have to agree with you. I hope to get this mop trimmed sometime before Orlando. As far as the "best feelings in the summertime," I'd say it's more like the feeling of driving an open road at dusk with all the windows down. The air stays about 70 degrees, and the bugs have gone to bed as well. It's a great feeling. Glad to hear that Buster is better. ...And yes, I'm loving the laptop. I'm on my recliner right now typing this. :) Posted by: Brian at June 20, 2001 1:01 AMBuster is on steroids and an antihistamine, but when we gave it to him with the eye-dropper last night at 11 PM, he went berzerk! It was apparently very bitter, and he started chawing and chawing and salivating, and he had spit bubbles 6 inches long hanging out of his mouth! As fast as we would wipe them away, he'd make MORE! This went on for 15 minutes. Needless to say, we called Dr. Tom at home, and he said he would give us something different today. After sleeping all night in the laundry room with the door closed so we couldn't hear him yowl, Buster is on the porch, sleeping in the sun. He is learning to walk slowly so he can keep his balance while walking. With his head cocked to the left (because that feels like he's balanced--but he's not), it's very difficult to walk. The back legs do OK, but the front legs end up going every which-a-way. It's really pitiful to watch. I'm babysitting today. Every time he wakes up, he yowls. His eyes are still going back and forth. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers, please. Posted by: Mom at June 20, 2001 9:49 AMYour haircut looks nice! We've ordered a purple neon kit for my ride and we debating over the wheels, I want Arelli Assasyn's!!! Posted by: Carrie at June 20, 2001 9:30 PMHope Buster is doing better!!!! Posted by: Carrie at June 20, 2001 9:30 PMCarrie, if you're getting the Assasyn's better make it big. At least 20s. I've seen the 17s on civics and they look pityful. I preffer the Vettas, they look wicked. Posted by: Paul at June 20, 2001 11:41 PMI saw a Mazda MPV minivan with Assasyns on it the other week. It looked pretty dumb, actually. Are you sure that would look right on the Subaru? Posted by: ass-ass-in hea' at June 21, 2001 12:01 AMI have a set of 18 inch assasyns on my stang...I think they are the baddest wheels ever, and that they would look good on anything Posted by: $tewart at August 24, 2002 12:45 AMPost a comment
