Drop the Chalupa! Yes, folks, I've done it. I finally reared the cajones to order my DJM 3/4" kit and all 4 shocks. I'm psyched. Patrick (my buddy here at work that's gonna help me) got word from his other friend that we could use his garage, but only if I help them get their website going. Sounds like a good deal to me. Now, I just have to wait for the kit to arrive... Don't ya hate waiting??!! :)

How much does a kit like that cost? Is it like something you could get at Walmart, or is it a lot more specialized? Tell me more! Need details!

It's a pretty specialized thing. You can't get it at Wal-Mart, you can usually only get it through custom warehouses like Godfather Customs or AIM Insudtries, and some other shops..most of them are located on the west coast.
You can find out more on www.djmsuspension.com They sell kits and accessories for many vehicles.

You could probley get one at the Mexican Hardware Store (Advance Auto) aswell for a fair price. Every now and then they will through in a pair of fuzzy dice and your choice of a sheep skin sterring wheel cover or a chain link sterring wheel at no extra charge. Then on a really good day they will give you a neon licenes plate fram for 50% off with your purchase

How low are you dropping the chalupa? and what about the rims?
Posted by: Paul C at April 21, 2001 11:33 PM
It's a 3" front, 4" rear kit. New control arms in the front and 4" blocks in the back and shocks for both front and rear. It shouldn't be too hard to install.
I'm going to hold out on the wheels for now. It may have to wait until I get my taxes back next year to do the wheels.

You know those tax refunds you get aren't really gifts from the government, right? That was money DUE TO YOU from work you already did. It would be unwise to treat those like heaven-sent gifts, when in reality it's the govt handing you a big ol' bucket of lube.
