Here we are, finally into the home stretch on this house building thing. It's amazing this week is finally here after waiting more than a year for it to be built.
Olivia visited the house again Friday night to do a more thorough walk-through and to check every single window and door to avoid missing something. We found a few small problems - enough to fill the front side of a peice of paper - mostly small stuff like a screen missing or some stray paint or a lack of paint.
Our official final walk through is tomorrow evening at 6:30 where we will present our list of demands to Ian and hope that he doesn't hate us when its all over.
And then our closing is Thursday afternoon where we will sign our lives away for good - or at least for another 30 years.
We went window-blind window-shopping this weekend. Reminder to self: never buy another house with 28 windows. You'd never think you'd spend that much money on blinds. You'd be wrong.
