Things are continuing to go in hyper-mode on the new house.
- We now have all of our light fixtures in (even the outside ones) and they're all hooked up and working.
- Our water also appears to be running. Just for giggles, I turned on one of the faucets upstairs and was suprised when water came out!
- We met with our construction supervisor this morning to talk about fixing a lighting problem in the kitchen. You see, we got recessed lighting put in above the island, but they also kept the standard light fixture box. Which is good, except that they didn't center that fixture box over the island. When I talked to Ian yesterday, he agreed that it looked a little odd. And, when we arrived this morning, we found our kitchen covered in drywall dust and some big gaping holes in our ceiling. Much to our suprise and delight, he had already gotten the electricians to move the fixture box and recessed lighting around and it was exactly what we had envisioned. This is one of those reasons why we love Ryan Homes - they really seem like they want to keep us happy.
Also of note is that the dirt around the house has been grated down and is nice and smooth..and presumably ready for sod and landscaping.
